File Migration

As part of the upgrade to Windows 7, each PC’s hard drive will be reformatted and all files and programs will be deleted. Therefore, in preparation for the upgrade to Windows 7, we need your help preserving your document files.

Please follow the steps below on how to gather your document files to the My Documents folder on your PC. These documents will be transferred and safely restored on the new PC or newly reformatted PC with Windows 7. Document files not moved to the 'My Documents' folder will not be migrated to the Windows 7 platform. Also, please refrain from using a backup utility in XP. It will not let us successfully migrate your files to Windows 7.

Typical locations for document files may include the desktop, secondary hard drives, other directories not a part of the My Documents folder.
